Yoga Therapy for Emotional Health

 

On August 14, 2021, Michelle gave a keynote presentation at the Global Yoga Therapy Day Conference. In this talk, you’ll learn how yoga is a natural outlet specifically for kids that also helps them regulate their emotions. You’ll learn how to spot anxiety & depression in your kid clients. And finally you’ll learn practical steps of how to use yoga tools to help kids regulate their moods and behavior.

Michelle is an industry thought leader whose vision is to optimize clients' well-being by helping them become resilient, confident and supported through yoga-based therapy. She was named the first full time yoga therapist in a hospital setting by the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She's published a book, written articles and has spoken at numerous conferences over the years.  

Michelle is a
 certified yoga therapist and a licensed professional counselor (LPC) through the State of Colorado, specializing in yoga for kids, teens and families. She is the author of Using Yoga Therapy to Promote Mental Health in Children & Adolescents. Though she's specialized in kids, her work applies to people and clients of all ages.
