What makes our yoga therapy different?

Rhythms Yoga Training specializes in yoga therapy for emotional wellness. We combine evidence-based treatments with yoga techniques.

What's the difference between yoga therapy and a yoga class? We tailor our yoga practices to children's different needs and ability levels. Not all yoga and mindfulness techniques are right for everyone. For clients who struggle with anxiety or hyperactivity, you learn active poses to release that extra energy. For clients who are feeling depressed, you learn gentle poses that help them build stamina and resiliency. We combine our clinical mental health experience and yoga in order to train therapists to utilize mindfulness techniques that meet the specific needs of each person.

You can use yoga to help children cope with:

  • trauma

  • anxiety (general and social)

  • depression

  • body image issues

  • focus

  • sensory integration

  • family conflict

Our training gives you practical tools and steps to introduce yoga-based therapy into your clinical practice. You'll learn yoga poses, breathing techniques and more so that you can make a bigger difference in kids' lives.

Yoga Therapy Works

A 2016 study published by Yoga Journal showed that people who do yoga have a more positive self-image than those who don’t. With guidance from your certified yoga therapist, Michelle Fury, you get all the benefits of yoga, plus treatment targeted to specific problems.
